"The Bright Yellow shade that nearly covers the entirety of the silhouette derives from the hues used on the original Torsion bar. Besides the color, the model itself incorporates the aforementioned cushioning system, which uses a special material to deliver much flexibility to the wearer. Meanwhile, nylon uppers, side stripes, and heel counter stay true to the adidas schoenen heren look. Underfoot, the Bright Yellow Torsion bar interrupts the black rubber outsole, along with a spot of Bright Cyan that is also reminiscent of the bar’s signature colors.

Earlier in December, adidas debuted the adidas ozweego dames, a new take on the heritage model that proffers a futurism more subdued than many of the interpretations prior. The silhouette now, following its OG-inspired “Neon” colorway, is dressing up in a few tonal renditions, this pair here adopting a greyscale palette. Though its panels of synthetic and mesh are hued similarly, the separation is still overtly noticeable thanks in part to the color blocking. Along the ventilated areas — which sit atop the forefoot as well as direct profile — shades of white visually outline, their shapes placed between the greyed underlayer and the slightly cream-tinted exterior.

Although a plethora of colorways have been confirmed for the silhouette’s targeted release date on February 4th, the adidas ultra boost sale has trickled out a bit early in this clean and simple colorway of monochromatic grey. The upper Primeknit and exterior cage/heel exoskeleton are all tinted with a classic grey hue for a no-frills, all-running approach to performance style. The redesigned BOOST sole, which has been re-engineered to have a wider, thicker rear and a rocker-like shape for toe-to-heel movement, appears in standard white.

NASA has been able to lend adidas a hand at the technology front by testing the Ultra Boost in space to make improvements in stability and comfort.
