But the fact is, traditional physical beauty still has a powerful hold on us. So much so that British culture purveyor TC Candler continues to put out a "100 Most Beautiful Faces" ranking every year.

His 29th Annual Independent Critics List is made up entirely of entertainment personages -- meaning the world's most physically striking lawyers and insurance adjusters and Amazon delivery drivers didn't make it onto Candler's radar.

But that doesn't mean the list only has famous faces you know. The ranking roves across the globe, pulling in models, actors and singers who get little attention in the U.S. Below is the Top 25:
